Hi, you're seeing this message because you're using an old version of Internet Explorer. Some of the features on this website will look out of place and probably won't even work. Please consider updating your browser. It won't take long. The www.browsehappy.com website is a good place to start.
Where does inspiration come from? This is a question that many card makers ask. An idea might come from Pinterest or be inspired by other people#s lovely work. My card was a happy accident. I was working away at my table making something else entirely, and I saw a cut out piece of cardstock and a colour and suddenly this card popped into my head!! Also Zinnias popped into my head too. They probably look nothing like my card. What do I know, I am really a crafter and the only time I have green fingers, is when I get ink on them lol
I created this card with the botanical framelets by stamping the scroll from Timeless Elegance in Watermelon Wonder then cutting it out with framelet. If I did this again I would mat the Very Vanila ontp a piece of Watermelon cardstock to give the design more of a “frame!
Back with Friends and Flowers stampset again! Just love this set and again this card popped into my mind. I love to work with a monochrome palette and let the design itself be the creativity. Adding colour might have spoilt its very simple design. The centre of the flower was cut using the new botanical framelets but still only using the wisteria cardstock. The die cut adds dimension to the flower, just like stamens in real life

I was lucky enough to win this Stampset at a recent team training event and I had this card in my head.. a bit like a brain worm until i could get it out! It is very simple and only uses two colours.
In many ways Stampin Up demonstrators are like peas in a pod. We all share a love of crafting and the beauty of the coordinated Stampin Up products. But our similarity also allows us to explore our own creativity, at the same time.

This simple card was created with the Honeycomb Happiness stampset and then combined with a fancy fold. The cute honeycomb embellishment remind me of the Christmas ornaments i used to have as a child. Each year they would be carefully put up and then lovingly put away for the following year. The embellishments are self adhesive, so should you not want to crush them, you could pop one in the envelope for the recipient to add.
This stampset is a Salebration freebie!! Yes i did say free…if you order £ 45,00 of product with me. If you like this card, just click on the pictures below, to be magically transported to my well stocked 24/7 online shop,

A fellow crafter said to me , recently , that once something is in your head, you just have to get it out! I totally agree and this card came around because of a mistake. One of my customers wanted to make an 80th birthday card and I thought it was for a woman, but it was for a man. Once the idea was formulated and designed in my had. I had to transfer my design from my head to reality.
I like to design sometimes, using a very limited colour palette. In this card, if you discount the silver glimmer paper used for the numbers and the vanilla background, the whole card has been created with just two colours. I have relied on shape and texture to aid my design.
I had left the card on the easel in my kitchen and a friend spotted it and suggested someone for it! So my design and efforts were not in vain. This card could also be used by stamping a sentiment onto the oval instead.
If you would like to know more about my cards, my classes or papercraft, please do not hesitate to contact me either on 07881027800 or at email@example.com.

Bubble and squeak card made from leftovers
As a crafter, it is always so thrilling to receive a handmade gift because not only do you appreciate the time, the thought behind it, but you also appreciate the love that went into making it. I was especially pleased to receive this penguin from a fellow demo Elaine Harding, who despite being in alot of pain, managed to take this all the way to Brussels to give to me without crushing it! I f you are wondering about the picture showing the screwed up tissue paper as well, this is not a mistake! I wanted to show how Elaine had even chosen my favourite colour as packaging.
But of course I couldnt resist the temptation to Penguinise this already beautiful gift. I am sure “penguinise” is a proper word, indeed if it isn’t I shall write to the Oxford English Dictionary for inclusion! If they can include “binge watch” then they can include “penguinisation”too.
I hope you like the results and you can click on the penguin products below to order or to be whisked off to my 24/7 online shop for loads or other crafting goodies. If you would like to come to my classes, order products from me or become a member of a great sisterhood contact me on 07881 027800 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Until next time happy crafting x
Someone asked me today why I liked penguins so much!! I bought my first penguin on a family holiday to Guernsey when I was seven and have been hooked ever since. I love the contrast of their colours, the white and black and a splash of orange. I love the way they waddle and admire their efforts to raise their young and to work as a co-operative for survival. My daughter says I am obsessed but I say I am passionate. When does passion become obsession? And I think it is normal to call your house Penguin Cottage and have a penguin loo seat……..:-)
I made this card using the stampset from Stampin Up called Snow Place. It is an aperture card with white glitter inside an acetetate “pocket”, so the recipient can shake it and snow will descend on the little chap inside! I added tiny pearls to the front of the card to give the effect of falling snow. I hope you like it…
