Box Trolls!!!

SAM_0818The Box Trolls was a great film and I loved it!! But it so reminds me of my desk and the pile of boxes that have come to live on my desk…some of which, seem to have taken up permanent residence!!

I did manage to “rehome” one yesterday, as a wrapping for a gift for a friend. Not only did I use a box I had made but also I was able to decorate the tissue, in a way that both suited the gift and the recipient.

The tissue stamping inspiration came from the brilliant Victoria McLafferty at our last team training. I am unable to show the tissue paper, as once the gift was boxed up, it was under such pressure, I dare not open it again!!

Its lovely to make gifts, boxes and packaging all to match and coordinate. If you would like to know how, please do not hesitate to contact me: 07881 027800 or rosie@occasionalpapercrafts.co.uk.

Happy crafting, until next time x

A Project Revisited

SAM_0811Sometime ago, or maybe a long time ago! I attended one of Amanda Fowler’s brilliant and inspirational card classes. We made this Christmas card using a now retired framelet set. The  card was made using scraps of ribbon and is a clever way of using up silly little lengths of ribbon, or indeed the same technique could be used for scarps of designer series paper (DSP)

Although this project has been created with a retired framelet, the same idea could be used for any large framelet, punch or die and indeed the concept is like the advert says, not just for Christmas, but for life, ie other occasions may be available!

Whilst I personally find Christmas a difficult time, and therefore dislike it, Amanda’s fever for Christmas, might sometimes be infectious!

The products used in the card itself, are all current. The card stock is Old Olive and Real Red and  the corrresponding inks were used to stamp the sentiment, usung the “Teeny, Tiny Wishes” stampset. The images were punched using the word window and the modern label punch.

I have quite a few customers who like to buy my Christmas cards and I hope that these go down well! If you wish to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact me either on 07881 027800 or rosie@occasionalpapercrafts.co.uk.

Until next time, happy crafting x
