A Star is Born

I found this beautiful card on Pinterest. It is by Nancy Amato. For those who follow my posts, you will know how much I like Blackberry Bliss!! But this card has magic in it. I sprinkled some fairy dust (embossing powder) and waved my magic wand (heat tool) and watched the wonderful richness of the image appear. I will never tire of embossing and watching the lovely shiny image appear before my eyes.

Silent Night, Holy Night

SAM_0845This card makes me think of carol singers all gathered around a door!! The card was inspired by a video by the very talented France Martin. You can see the video here. Her instructions are brilliant and with them I was able to make this lovely card using the “Wonderous Wreath Stampset”. This stampset is one of the new photopolymer stampsets available from Stampin Up. It comes with a matching framelet die set and if you purchase them together there is a 15% discount!! Good to know.

Christmas by Ninja!!

I am sitting in Costa’s waiting for my dental appointment!! I thought I would post my latest creation whilst I sip my drink.

I used “Bordering Blooms” photopolymer stampset to stamp my artists impression of holly. I used Garden Green ink and then I used my Cherry Cobbler blendability pens to colour in pearls, to imitate berries and decorated my holly bough.

The sentiment comes from a now extinct stampset called ” Wishing You”. Again I stamped this using Garden Green. I added baubles punched with ornament mini punch from glitter card. I then pierced lines in the card to simulate string or chain on the ornaments. All this was done on Whisper White cardstock. The card was finished off with a matching envelope.

I hope you like this Christmas card and I am sure you will see more posts using “Bordering Blooms”!! If you would like to learn how to create cards like this, or to buy cards from me.SAM_0840 please contact me 07881 027800 or rosie@occasionalpapercrafts.co.uk.

Festival of Trees

It would seem that Christmas is nearly upon us! Where has this year gone? I have been busy making Christmas cards and whilst looking on Pinterest I was inspired to make this card using the photopolSAM_0837ymer stampset, “Festival of Trees”

The card base is cut in two places and the centre strip is discarded. In order to stop the card moving about as I worked on it. I hit on the idea of using a small bulldog to hold the pieces together until the trees were stuck down.

I used the “All Is Calm” DSP pack and finished off the trees with glittery stars cut from silver glimmer paper. The card stock was Pear Pizazza to compliment the DSP.

I then stamped the tree again and made a matching tag with the scraps and the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. This elegant tag would grace any present

I hope you like it, and happy crafting until next time
